Open Door serves the needs of customers who because of a disability, are unable to use IndyGo's regular fixed route system, and who meet the criteria by the U.S. Department of Transportation under the American Disabilities Act of 1990. To ride Open Door, you must be certified as eligible by IndyGo. Examples of persons who may be eligible are those who, because of a disability, are unable to: Get on or off a regular bus Walk from home to the nearest bus stop Grasp coins, tickets or handles Read, understand or follow bus information The first step to being certified is to complete an application form.
